Customer Support & Operations Assistant (m/w/d) | Minijob (E-Commerce / Shopify)

9 hours/week | Remote-first (99% home office) | occasional Berlin

Compensation (Minijob): €603/month

About Orbasics

Orbasics was founded by Lilija out of a desire to create healthier and more sustainable everyday alternatives. What started as a small collection of sustainable children’s clothing has grown into an expanding shop for organic clothing and carefully curated non-toxic products. We also run a blog where we share evidence-based knowledge and practical tips—helping people make their everyday lives healthier and more sustainable, step by step.

Join our team and support us in making Orbasics even more stable, customer-friendly, and efficient in day-to-day operations.

Your Responsibilities

1) Customer Support (main focus)

  • Handling customer inquiries (mainly via email) in a friendly, solution-oriented, and reliable way

  • Supporting customers with topics such as orders, shipping status, returns, product questions, and complaints

  • Maintaining and improving support processes (e.g., templates/FAQs, internal workflows)

  • Close coordination with the founder on sensitive cases or special solutions

2) Operations & Shop Backend

  • Working in the shop backend (Shopify): order checks, data maintenance, small day-to-day adjustments

  • Supporting organizational and administrative tasks (structured “back office” support)

  • Internal and external correspondence (e.g., partners/service providers)

  • Occasional support in our Berlin office

3) SEO & Content Support (product copy & translations)

  • Creating and refining SEO-optimized texts (e.g., category copy, blog articles, landing page texts, short SEO sections)

  • Translating and localizing content (German ↔ English) with natural wording for our target audience

  • Writing and optimizing product descriptions (clear, persuasive, on-brand, and search-friendly)

  • Updating and maintaining content in the shop (e.g., text edits, structure, internal linking based on guidelines)

Your Profile

Ideally, you bring

  • Experience in customer support (E-Commerce is a big plus)

  • Strong communication skills: clear, empathetic, and professional

  • A highly independent, structured work style and strong sense of responsibility

  • You’re comfortable with feedback, open to learning, and genuinely motivated to improve processes (not just “work through tasks”)

  • Fluent German and very good English skills (written & spoken)

Tools / knowledge (great to have, not required)

  • Shopify

  • Gorgias

  • Basic understanding of SEO (e.g., optimizing product copy, keyword basics)
