The person behind Orbasics

Hi, I'm Lilija.

I believe living more consciously starts with curiosity. A question, a closer look, and small choices that feel right for you.

I'm Lilija Bairamova, the founder of Orbasics. Together with my team, I develop natural activewear and write about the things that surround us every day. I'm curious about what lies behind a fabric, an ingredient, or a brand's promise.

From a personal search to my own brand

It began with a wish to find clothing for my family that felt good to wear and was made in a way I could understand. I started asking questions: Where do the fibres come from? How are fabrics dyed? What does a certification actually tell us?

I spoke with manufacturers, explored different materials, and discovered how many decisions go into a single garment. Orbasics grew out of that search.

Today, movement is at the heart of our clothing: soft fabrics, comfortable cuts, and natural materials as our starting point. I love seeing an idea become something you reach for again and again, whether you're practising yoga, going for a walk, or simply getting on with your day.

My curiosity goes beyond clothing

Once you start looking more closely, new questions come up. About the skincare in your bathroom, your favourite fragrance, or the products you use at home.

That curiosity connects our clothing, our selection of other brands, and the Orbasics Journal. I want to understand what makes a product, what information is available, and where it helps to look a little deeper.

For me, it's about choices you feel comfortable with. You can start small, ask questions, and discover what matters most to you.

What I share in the Orbasics Journal

I write about natural materials, low-tox living, and more informed buying decisions. Together with my team, I research the background, introduce brands, and compare alternatives.

The questions are often practical: Which fabric suits the way I move? What can an ingredient list tell me? Which differences between two products actually matter to me?

I hope you leave an article with a little more clarity. Perhaps you understand a material better, discover a new brand, or know which question to ask the next time you shop.

Keep exploring
