Junko Tabei - Edition 6 I Bravery Magazine
Orbasics' Friends Collection by Orbasics
Bravery is a kids mag for girls and boys that tells exciting stories of courageous female role models. The sixth edition is all about Junko Tabei, a Japanese mountain climbing legend. Junko was the first woman to reach the summit of Mount Everest and to climb all Seven Summits. With fun facts, illustrated stories and exciting DIYs, the whole family can learn about the wonderful life of Junko Tabei. Like all editions, this one also has a chapter for adults that dives deeper into the achievements of this mountain climber. The cover was designed by Ayumi Takahashi and 18 other artists collaborated to create the design, photography and text for this edition. Bravery is a quarterly kids mag that introduces inspiring female role models to girls and boys, to encourage them to be courageous themselves and follow their passion.

- Bravery is made for girls and boys aged 5 to 12, but to be honest: we as adults think that Bravery is a wonderful magazine for all ages.
Why we like it:
- Bravery is different than any other magazine for kids. It consciously breaks with the traditional stereotype of male heroes by portraying real and courageous women.
- It inspires not only young girls and boys to be more courageous, but adults as well.
